The Canadian women's short track speed skating relay team raced to gold at the World Cup in Dresden, Germany on Sunday. Three-time Olympic silver medallist Marianne St-Gelais led a team deep with talent to a dominant victory.

The 24-year-old along with teammates Kasandra Bradette, Audrey Phaneuf and Kim Boutin won by a huge margin. Canada was over one second faster than the rest of the field, posting a time of four minutes 13.107 seconds.

Heading into Sunday's competition, team Canada had 18 total medals in this season's short track World Cup. Brothers Francois and Charles Hamelin also helped add to that count.

In the men's 500 metres, Francois Hamelin earned a silver in a race that saw fellow Canadian Oliver Jean wipe out. The Lévis, Que. native held the lead for the majority of the race, but was ultimately passed by Russia's Dmitry Migunov.

Charles Hamelin added another medal to his already significant collection by taking the bronze in the men's 1,500 metres.

The four-time Olympic medallist ran out of steam towards the end of the race, allowing Russia's Semion Elistratov and Korea's Seungsoo Han to inch by him. Rookie Samuel Girard, of Montreal, just missed the podium with a fourth-place finish.
