If nothing else, Bryce Harper's left thumb must be 100 per cent.
Harper and his Washington Nationals teammates are in the final stages of getting their bodies in optimum condition as position players must report to spring training by Feb. 24.
Health is a top priority in 2015 for Harper, who's entering his fourth major league season. He missed two months after having surgery last April to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb.
But Harper's thumb passed the test Saturday when the slugger showed off one of his off-season training methods to prepare for the upcoming 162-game schedule: Driving a golf ball, Happy Gilmore-style.
The ball travelled 340 yards. Click below to watch.
It's all in the hips, right Bryce?
