It's been only four games but the talk has already begun.

Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier began the season as the clear No. 1 goaltender, a status he was expected to keep at least for a little while.

After the first two games, Bernier gave up nine goals and panic gripped the city. I know, a little too much hyperbole.

But there was already unrest among Leafs fans.

Enter James Reimer.

The much-maligned netminder started off with a solid game against the New York Rangers on Sunday before leaving for precautionary reasons after suffering a hit to the head. Reimer allowed only two goals in Toronto's 6-3 win.

Pleased with his performance, coach Randy Carlyle started Reimer again Tuesday night against the Colorado Avalanche. Reimer didn't disappoint.

He stopped 22 of 24 shots as the Leafs skated to a 3-2 victory on Phil Kessel's overtime goal.

So has Reimer started a goalie controversy in Toronto?

Should James Reimer be the Maple Leafs' No. 1 goaltender?

Fans on Twitter brought up the possibility shortly after the Leafs' win.
