Phil Kessel has been on a nice scoring ride since making his disgust public after the Leafs' humbling loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.

Kessel, who scored a goal and two assists in the Leafs' win over the New York Rangers on Sunday, was at it again.

The Leafs' winger scored a nifty game-winning goal in overtime, lifting Toronto to a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday night at Air Canada Centre.

Kessel, who assisted on James van Riemsdyk's goal in the first period, took a beautiful stretch pass from Tyler Bozak and raced into Colorado's end. He then cut around Avalanche defenceman Tyson Barrie and slipped a shot behind goalie Semyon Varlamov.

It's was a highly productive night for the Toronto's top line of Kessel, van Riemsdyk and Bozak, who combined for six points against the Avalanche.
