The Senators and the "Hamburglar" slipped into the final wild-card spot in the East, while the Flames and Jets kept ahead of the Kings. Meanwhile, the Leafs and Oilers lost again.

Senators in playoff position
The Ottawa Senators made it seven wins in a row with a 5-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks, jumping ahead of the Boston Bruins to takeover the second wild-card spot in the East by one point. The Senators have 85 points and sit three behind the Washington Capitals, who hold the first wild-card spot.
Senators goalie Andrew "Hamburglar" Hammond improved to 14-0-1 and has now won all seven of his home starts. He was injured when the Sharks' Logan Couture crashed the net, but Hammond stayed in the game.
The "Hamburglar" has now gone 15 starts without a loss in regulation, one behind the record of 16 set by the Penguins' Patrick Lalime during the 1996-97 season. Hammond sits tied with the Bruins' Ross Brooks, who hit the 15-game mark in 1972-73, and the Canadiens' Bill Duran, who did it during the 1943-44 season.
Mika Zibanejad had a two-goal night including the tying goal in the third.
Flames stay ahead of Kings
The Calgary Flames earned a big win with a 3-2 defeat of the Colorado Avalanche.
A victory for Los Angeles earlier in the evening against the Devils made this an important two points for Calgary.
The win kept Calgary ahead of Los Angeles and closed the gap on the Vancouver Canucks in the Pacific Division. The Flames sit in third in the division with 86 points, two behind Vancouver and two ahead of the Kings.
Calgary goalie Karri Ramo made a big save in the first that turned into a two-on-one rush for the Flames and led to the team's first goal of the night.
Jets and Oilers
The Winnipeg Jets won their fifth in a row, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4-1, and strengthening their push for the playoffs. The win keeps the Jets four points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings for the final wild-card spot in the West.
Winnipeg's Lee Stempniak scored the winner five minutes into the second while teammate Tyler Myers rang one off the post to put the Jets up 3-0.
Leafs lose 6th straight
The Toronto Maple Leafs suffered a sixth straight loss, going down 2-1 to the Minnesota Wild. Toronto got within one late in the third period.
"We had a lot of good chances in the third. We had 10 scoring chances," said Maple Leafs coach Peter Horachek.
Leafs defenceman Eric Brewer was honoured before the puck drop for playing 1,000 NHL games, a milestone he achieved Saturday.
He was presented with a silver stick by former Leaf Wendel Clark.
