Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn has apologized to Daniel and Henrik Sedin for comments he made about the Vancouver Canucks' twins, the team announced Wednesday.

"Jamie Benn has reached out to Henrik and Daniel Sedin to apologize for the radio interview that he was a part of on Monday," the team said in a statement.

"The Dallas Stars have the utmost respect for the contributions that the two have made to both the game and to their community over the course of their great careers.  We will not be commenting on the situation further."

Benn and linemmate Tyler Seguin took part in an interview on a Dallas radio station on Monday.

When the conversation moved to the Sedins rooming together Benn replied, "who knows what else they do together too."

After one of the hosts asked if the Sedins are weird, Seguin quipped "they look weird."

Henrik Sedin shot back at both Benn and Seguin during his interview with TSN 1040 radio in Vancouver on Tuesday night.

"I think it says more about them than it does about us," he said.

The Canucks and Stars will next meet at Rogers Arena on March 28.
