Last week, Vancouver Canucks anthem singer Mark Donnelly was a YouTube sensation for all the wrong reasons.

Donnelly was invited by the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League to sing the national anthem ahead of their home opener October 3.

Donnelly decided to lace up his skates while signing the anthem, which turned out to be a bad decision as he tripped over the red carpet.

Here's a refresher:

Prior to the Canucks' season opener against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night, Donnelly had some fun at his expense, walking to centre ice with skates wrapped around his neck before belting out O Canada.
