It wasn't a good night for Boston Bruins bruiser Milan Lucic.

As you recall, after Game 7 of last year's Stanley Cup series between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens, Habs forward Dale Weise claimed Lucic threatened him in the traditional handshake line. Lucic also had words with Canadiens defenceman Alexei Emelin.

Fast forward to Thursday night's clash with the two teams at the Bell Centre.

Weise didn't dress, but Emelin played.

The Canadiens defenceman nailed Lucic with a check at the start of the game to the roar of the crowd. Lucic would go on to register two assists but his penalty with 1:20 remaining in the game allowed Montreal to preserve a 5-4 lead, and in fact, add an empty-net goal.

Lucic was livid with the penalty and let the crowd know about it. The Canadiens would go on to win 6-4.

Lucic didn't calm down after getting sent to the Boston dressing room. And now ESPN is reporting his gesture to the crowd has got the attention of the NHL, which will review the matter.
