Canadian swimmer Cochrane goes for podium in 400 freestyle

Watch live action from Glasgow, Scotland as Canadian swimming stars Ryan Cochrane and Brittany MacLean highlight the opening-day day slate.
Cochrane is attempting to defend his men's 400-metre freestyle title, while MacLean begins her bid for multiple medals as she races in the women's 200 free in her first Commonwealth Games appearance.
Earlier, Kirsten Sweetland of Victoria won Canada's first medal of the Games, taking silver in the women's triathlon.
The men's triathlon, track cycling and weightlifting are also featured on the Day 1 program.
