Quarterback Anthony Calvillo will make a long-awaited announcement next week regarding his future with the Montreal Alouettes.
The team has scheduled a news conference for Jan. 21 at a downtown hotel, at which time Calvillo will "provide an update on his playing career."
President Mark Weightman and coach/GM Jim Popp are also to attend the announcement.
Calvillo, 41, is expected to retire after 19 seasons in which he set all-time CFL records for passing yards, completions and TDs. He missed the second half of the 2013 campaign with a concussion.
