Corsi, Fenwick among new-age tools

Goals, assists and shots on goal are the old standbys, but a new wave of statistics is catching on, giving hockey fans and analysts a deeper look at the game.
Corsi and Fenwick are two of the advanced stats that go beyond the traditional numbers, using data on shots attempted to gauge which teams are truly outplaying their opponents, and which are getting by on good fortune.
Not everyone is buying in, though, as Hockey Night in Canada play-by-play man Jim Hughson says in his latest video blog.
