Teemu Selanne could score with the best of them, racking up 684 goals in 21 NHL seasons, including 76 in his rookie campaign in 1992-93.
He won the Stanley Cup in 2007 with Anaheim and the Bill Masterton Trophy the season before for perseverance and dedication to hockey. Heck, he played in the best league in the world until age 43.
But who knew life after hockey for the Finnish Flash would mean being a golf caddie?
Well, there was Selanne on Wednesday, sporting the customary white overalls and carrying Finnish pro Mikko Ilonen's clubs at the Masters par-3 contest in Augusta, Ga., ahead of the 79th edition of golf's first major tournament of the season.
Participants at the traditional nine-hole event employ family members or friends as caddies.
Selanne, who was lethal with a hockey stick, has played a few rounds in his day.
Wonder how much advice he offered Ilonen, who earlier this week was given 400/1 odds of topping the field of 98 at the Masters, which begins Thursday?
In January, Selanne, the Ducks' all-time leader in goals (457), points (988) and games played (966), became the first player in franchise history to have his jersey retired.
Perhaps Wednesday was the start of a new career.
