Highly touted prospect Connor McDavid is not known for using his fists, but he was certainly looking punchy Friday night.

McDavid, who is the star of the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters, arrived for their game against the Sarnia Sting in a cartoonishly obnoxious outfit, that made Don Cherry's wardrobe look bland.

The 6-foot-1, 187-pound centre is known to float like a butterfly on the ice and sting like a bee on the score sheet. But his selection of attire Saturday night clearly proves he does not shy away from attention.

McDavid, who already has five goals and 13 points through four games this season, will have plenty of eyes on him this year as he aims to secure his status as the projected No. 1 pick in June's NHL Entry Draft.

The 17-year-old was selected earlier this year by Medvescak Zagreb of the Kontinental Hockey League draft earlier this year in the second round.
