Canadiens goalie Carey Price tied two hockey legends with his 42nd win of the season while the Senators couldn't get by the Leafs and the Penguins continued their downward slide.

Price ties Canadiens record for wins
Montreal goalie Carey Price earned his league-leading 42nd win of the season, tying Ken Dryden and Jacques Plante for most goaltender victories by a Canadien during the regular season as his team downed the Panthers 4-1.
"It's pretty neat, like I said it reflects the team play and the chemistry we have in our room and it's been a lot of fun this year to have that amount of success," Price said.
Price has two potential opportunities to break the record as the Canadiens have two games remaining in the season.
With the win, the Canadiens increased their point total to 106 and sit in first place in the Atlantic Division, two points ahead of the Lightning.
Plekanec scores No. 200
Montreal's Tomas Plekanec scored his 200th career goal, opening up the scoring for the Canadiens in the first period.
The 32-year-old has played for the Canadiens organization since the 2002-03 season. He has had seven 20 goal or more seasons including 2014-15 where he has recorded 24.
Holland spoils Senators win
The Leafs' Peter Holland spoiled the Ottawa Senators chance to get within one point of the final wild card spot in the east as he scored the shootout winner to give Toronto a 3-2 victory.
Ottawa earned a point to increase to 93, now sitting two points behind the Red Wings for the final wild card spot. Detroit and Boston both have 95 points with the Bruins holding on to the third spot in the Atlantic Division. The Pittsburgh Penguins also have 95 points as they hold on to the first wild card spot.
Senators goalie Andrew "the Hamburglar" Hammond made 36 saves. Ottawa has three games to play this season and will likely need to win them all to make the playoffs.
Ottawa's loss in the shootout allowed the Washington Capitals to clinch a playoff spot. They defeated the Red Wings 2-1 earlier in the day.
Penguins lose again
The Pittsburgh Penguins are in the midst of a downward spiral, losing 10 of their last 13 games as they slide down the standings.
A 4-1 loss to the Flyers combined with victories from the Red Wings and Bruins over the weekend have led the struggling Penguins to sit on the edge of the playoff cutoff.
Flyers goalie Steve Mason made 46 saves helping his team win the battle of Pennsylvania.
Pittsburgh will play the Senators on Tuesday.
