The Senators kept the playoff dream alive with a thrilling win in overtime while the Jets stayed in the race and the Flames picked up an important two points.

Senators win a thriller in OT
All alone on the breakaway, the Senators' Kyle Turris scored the winning goal in dramatic fashion, to keep Ottawa on pace in the race for the last wild card spot in the east.
It was an important 4-3 victory over the Washington Capitals as the Senators needed the victory in their battle with the Boston Bruins and the Detroit Red Wings for a playoff spot. The Bruins beat the Maple Leafs 2-1 in a shootout and the Red Wings beat the Wild 3-2 earlier in the day.
Struggling Toronto has gone 2-9 over its last 11 games.
Ottawa has 92 points sitting three behind Boston for the final wild card spot in the east. Detroit also has 95 points but holds the third spot in the Atlantic Division because they win the tie-breaker.
Jets keep pace in playoff hunt
It was an intense first period at the MTS Centre where the Jets and Vancouver Canucks combined for five goals during a game where Winnipeg came out on top 5-4.
The win gives the Jets an important two points, increasing to 92 as they fight for the final wild card spot in the west. The Los Angeles Kings beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 to edge Winnipeg for the final wild card spot later in the day. The Kings also have 92 points but beat the Jets on the tie-breaker. They each have four games left to fight for position.
The Canucks stay put in second place in the Pacific Division with 95 points.
Winnipeg got the scoring started by netting two goals in 50 seconds, beginning less than five minutes into the game courtesy of Jim Slater and Michael Frolik.
In the second, Winnipeg and Vancouver traded goals eight seconds apart at the hands of the Jets' Mark Scheifele and the Canucks' Alexandre Burrows.
Flames hold on to playoff spot
The Calgary Flames took the lead in the first period and they didn't look back, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4-0 as they held onto third place in the Pacific Division. Calgary has 93 points, one up on the Kings.
Flames goalie Jonas Hiller earned his 23rd career shutout, coming off the bench to replace Karri Ramo after he appeared to pull a muscle in his left leg just 58 seconds into the game.
Flames defenceman Dennis Wideman scored a goal and two assists to help the effort.
It was Calgary's 22nd road win this season, tying a franchise record.
