Winnipeg Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien left Wednesday night's game against the Ottawa Senators with an apparent arm injury.

The injury occurred with more than eight minutes remaining in the second period as Byfuglien was battling with Senators forward Erik Condra for the puck in the Jets' end.

That's when the Winnipeg defenceman appeared to favour his right arm.

Condra put the Senators up 3-0 seconds after Byfuglien suffered the injury.

Byfuglien, who sustained what the team called an upper-body injury, didn't return to the game.

Ottawa went on to a 3-1 win over Winnipeg.
