The 2014-15 NHL season hasn't exactly been kind to Carolina Hurricanes right-winger Alexander Semin, but the events of Sunday will at least give him one fond memory to look back on.

In the second period against the Edmonton Oilers, Semin became the first Hurricanes player on the afternoon to solve netminder Richard Bachman, scoring a no-look goal from his stomach that earns top marks for level of difficulty.

The 31-year-old Semin has appeared in just 39 of Carolina's 64 games this season, sitting as a healthy scratch on a handful of occasions and also missing 11 games due to injury.

However, Semin was able to provide a spark for the Hurricanes with his fourth goal of the season.

His incredible effort narrowed Edmonton's lead to 3-1 and from there, Carolina stormed back to earn a 7-4 victory.
