The NHL revealed the home and away version of the jerseys that will be worn by players during the All-Star game on Jan. 25 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

Reebok designer Dominic Fillion told NHL.com that part of the thought process for the sweaters was to incorporate colours that are not used by any of the league's 30 teams.

Also on Friday, the NHL announced that Peter Laviolette of the Nashville Predators and Darryl Sutter of the Los Angeles Kings have been selected as the head coaches for the annual event.

Laviolette was chosen because the Predators have the NHL's highest points percentage at .725, and Nashville still will hold that position going into the halfway point of the season Saturday.

The Predators are 27-9-4 in Laviolette's first season, and this will be his second career all-star appearance.

Sutter guided the Kings to the Stanley Cup champions last season. He will be making his all-star coaching debut.
