The Jets' Mathieu Perreault scored four goals, his coach Paul Maurice got his 500th win and the Sabres retired Dominik Hasek's jersey.

Perreault scores 4
The Winnipeg Jets' Mathieu Perreault is on fire, extending his point streak to four games by scoring four goals and adding an assist in an 8-2 win over the Florida Panthers. This was the first time the forward, who has 15 goals this season, has scored four times in a game.
Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien netted a pair of goals and an assist to add to Perreault's offence.
Maurice wins 500th
Jets coach Paul Maurice won his 500th career game, making him the second youngest coach to hit the milestone. He is the seventh active coach to earn that many wins. The 47-year old entered the season with 478 career victories, including the 76 he earned with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Maurice has led the Jets to 22 wins this season.
Hasek's jersey retired
The Buffalo Sabres retired the number of star goalie Dominik Hasek during a ceremony before their game against Detroit. Hasek played for both the Sabres and Red Wings during his career.
The legendary netminder was given a standing ovation as he walked onto the ice to speak with the crowd in Buffalo.
"I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing the cheers of Sabres fans," Hasek said
Despite the great night for Hasek, his Sabres couldn't get by his other team. Detroit beat Buffalo 3-1.
Chara drops Paquette
The Bruins' Zdeno Chara used one punch to drop the Tampa Bay Lightning's Cedric Paquette in a short bout during a game that saw Boston win 4-3.
Paquette was unimpressed with Chara's hit on Lightning player Matt Carle, and he let Zdeno know his displeasure. Before Paquette could do much, Chara showed how his immense stature makes him a hard man to fight. Chara had an eight-inch height advantage and is more than 50 pounds heavier than Paquette.
What happened should be a surprise to no one.
Predators win but lose Rinne
The Vancouver Canucks couldn't stand up to the pressure of the No. 1 team in the NHL as the Nashville Predators beat the Canucks handily by a 5-1 margin.
The downside to the victory was the loss of star goaltender Pekka Rinne after a collision in front of the net during the third period. Canuck forward Chris Higgins drove the net, becoming tied up with with Nashville defenceman Anton Volchenkov before the pair collided with Rinne, driving him into the boards. The goaltender left the game with a lower-body injury after remaining down on the ice for several seconds. Rinne leads the league with 28 wins this season.
Sens fall to Spezza; Oilers lose again
In other Canadian hockey games, the Oilers continued their awful year with a 4-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues. It was the 12th loss in a row on the road for Edmonton (10-25-9). The Blues' Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 24th goal of the season.
The Ottawa Senators were hosted by the Dallas Stars in a game that saw Jason Spezza play against his old team for the first time. The Senators were unable to beat Spezza and the Stars despite an early lead, losing to Dallas 5-4 after a rough second period where they gave up four unanswered goals.
