Paul Maurice drops f-bomb when asked about Jets' performance

A frustrated Paul Maurice swore on Monday as reporters grilled the Winnipeg Jets head coach on the team's poor performance so far this season.

After winning the season opener against Arizona, the Jets have lost every game since, including two games at the MTS Centre over the weekend.

During a news conference on Monday, the CBC's Jeff Hamilton asked Maurice about accountability in the locker room.

"Blake [Wheeler] talked about the idea of accountability and how it wasn't necessarily the players' jobs to keep other teammates accountable," Hamilton said.

"Whose job is it then, to make sure that —"

Replied Maurice, "It's not the players' job to tell you about it … to open this book up to you and tell you everything that goes on. I could make you cry in that f---ing room.

"Listen, I understand you have to work with what you're given, and I appreciate that. But the accountability in the room is fine. We deal with our problems directly."

Maurice later apologized for his use of profanity.

The Jets continue their home stand on Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.
