Prior to the Toronto Blue Jays' game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night at Rogers Centre, manager John Gibbons told the media that he thinks the team can get back to its May-like tear.

Talk about bad timing.

The Jays began their nine-game homestand with an embarrassing 8-0 loss to Tampa Bay, a defeat which further damages any shot at the post-season.

After the humiliation, fans took to Twitter to vent their frustration.

The first wants "pundits" to stop suggesting the Jays "can turn it around."

This fan obviously disagrees with Gibbons and wonders if the Jays streak in May was simply a result of "crappy pitching" from the opposition.
