Germany clinched top spot in Group B with a 5-1 rout of Brazil on Tuesday in Montreal at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Sara Daebritz led Germany (2-0-1) with three goals, while Pauline Bremer scored the other two.

Carol scored for Brazil (0-2-1), which led 1-0 at halftime before losing control of the match.

Germany will play its quarter-final in Edmonton on Saturday against host Canada, which finished second in Group A.

Brazil finished in last place in the group.

In Moncton, Lindsey Horan scored twice in the first half as the United Stets beat China 3-0 to finish second in Group B.

Rose Lavelle also scored for the U.S. (2-1-0), which will play Group A winner North Korea in Toronto in Saturday's quarter-finals.

China finished with a record of 0-1-2.
