We're not even halfway through the group phase at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and there has already been a number of standout individual performances. Here are some of our favourites so far:

Luis Suarez vs. England

The Uruguayan dynamo scored two goals against England – including the game-winner in the 84th minute – in his first game back from knee surgery.

Robin van Persie vs. Spain

Scored a wonder goal to draw the Dutch level with Spain, one of the best headers you'll ever see. One of two he netted in the Netherlands whitewash over the defending champions.

Guillermo Ochoa vs. Brazil

The goalkeeper was the major reason why Mexico and Brazil played to a 0-0 draw, making several incredible stops, including what could go down as one of the greatest saves in World Cup history on a Neymar header.

Thomas Müller vs. Portugal

Netted the 2014 World Cup's first hat trick in Germany's dismantling of Portugal. He's trying to become the first player in history to defend his Golden Boot title.
