Canadian tennis player Milos Raonic is ranked ninth in the latest ATP rankings released Monday.
The Thornhill, Ont., native is back in ninth, a result achieved for the first time in his career in April, after a one-week stint in the 10th spot.
Raonic is coming off an impressive semifinal result at the Italian Open, the last major tournament before next week's French Open in Paris.
While Raonic is ranked ninth, he is projected to be the eighth seed at the French Open due to the injury absence of Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina. That will represent the highest Raonic has ever been seeded at a Grand Slam tournament.
Vancouver's Vasek Pospisil is 31st, trying to climb pack towards the career-best 25th he achieved in late January.
Kei Nishikori slips from ninth to 10th, with the top eight rankings unchanged.
Rafael Nadal, winner of the French Open a record eight times, will head into Roland Garros as the top seed for just the third time in his career.
The Spaniard lost in three sets at the Italian Open on Sunday to Serbia's Novak Djokovic, who is ranked second in the world.
Australian Open winner Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland is third in the world.
Swiss legend Roger Federer, looking to add to his total of 17 majors, is ranked fourth, followed by Spain's David Ferrer.
Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic (sixth) and Scotsman Andy Murray (eighth) round out the top 10.
