Tempers definitely escalated during Game 3 of the Montreal Canadiens-New York Rangers Eastern Conference final on Thursday night.

Canadiens winger Brandon Prust levelled Rangers centre Derek Stepan in the first period with a late hit. Stepan was irate as he headed to the dressing room but he did return to the game.

Still seething at the hit and that no penalty was called, Rangers winger Daniel Carcillo let his emotions get the best of him as he received a game misconduct for shoving a linesman.
