The National Hockey League may want to consider implementing a new penalty called "left hooking" after an incident during the L.A. Kings-Edmonton Oilers game Sunday night.

Kings forward Jordan Nolan decked Jesse Joensuu while the Oilers forward's hands were being tied up by the linesman. The infraction occurred while the play was stopped with four seconds remaining in the Kings' 4-2 win.

Nolan appeared to be upset after Joensuu nailed L.A. blue-liner Drew Doughty from behind after the whistle and looked frustrated by the fact he was getting a double-minor for roughing. Joensuu received a cross-checking penalty on the play.
