Daniel Sedin winced, in visible agony while he grasped his left leg.

The Vancouver Canucks forward then got up and skated off the ice, keeled over as he approached the bench.

Sedin had just been levelled into the boards on a hit by Senators defenceman Marc Methot Sunday during the second period of the Heritage Classic. The forward's legs appeared to make contact with the boards at an awkward angle, leaving him lying in pain. Methot's arm also appeared to make contact with, or came close to making contact with, Sedin's head as he was levelled.

He did not return after leaving the game and will be re-evaluated Monday.
