Don't blame Steve Yzerman for leaving Martin St. Louis off Team Canada's Olympic roster, according to Don Cherry.
The Coach's Corner commentator used his Saturday segment on Hockey Night in Canada to explain why he thought the Team Canada and Tampa Bay general manager wasn't at fault for not naming St. Louis to the 2014 Sochi Olympic squad.
Cherry said Yzerman was just going by what the selection committee wanted and was put in a bit of an awkward position.
Grapes went on to explain why he felt St. Louis and Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Brent Seabrook should have made the Winter Games team.
