Don Cherry didn't like Shawn Thornton's actions against Brooks Orpik and the Pittsburgh Penguins last weekend, but he also wasn't a fan of the punishment given to the Boston Bruins forward.

Cherry used his Coach's Corner segment on Hockey Night in Canada Saturday to voice his displeasure with the 15-game suspension handed out to Thornton by the league earlier in the day, saying he thought it was "too much."

Grapes went on to explain that although he felt sorry for Orpik, who suffered a resulting concussion, he thought the defenceman should have engaged Thornton earlier on, instead of turning down his invitation to fight.
