Canada's Dave Duncan won his second consecutive World Cup ski cross race in Innichen, Italy on Sunday.
The 31-year-old of London, Ont., had barely finished celebrating his first career win when he won his second.
"I got an e-mail that said basically from the outhouse to the penthouse," said Duncan as he laughed.
"It's pretty hard to sum up everything that has happened this weekend. It's an incredible feeling. I struggle for words to truly describe how much it means to me… This is the stuff you dream of and you never really expect it to happen even though you work your butt off for it."
Duncan's two wins from the weekend have officially qualified him for the Olympics in Sochi.
"It definitely takes a lot of pressure off for those three qualifying races in January," he said.
Andreas Matt of Austria won silver and rounding out the podium was Daniel Bohnaker of Germany.
Brady Leman of Calgary, Alta., also made the men's final and was on track for a second-place finish before a mid-air collision knocked him out of medal contention.
"It was a long and tough day of races for me today," said Leman. "I was really battling with Andy [Andreas] Matt and at the end we kind of got tangled up and I missed a gate and that was it."
"It was exciting to see Dunc step up so big and take the two wins."
Whistler, B.C., native Marielle Thompson brought home more hardware for Canada winning silver in the ladies final behind Katrin Mueller of Switzerland.
"Yesterday I was a little disappointed with [finishing] fifth since my ski popped off in the semi [finals] but I made the most of it and won the small final," said Thompson.
"Today was awesome; I won every start and really showed where my skiing is at. I'm really excited to have the leader bib back again. It just goes to show that all of the training I did in the summer is paying off and I'm just feeling really great."
Heidi Zacher of Germany won bronze.
Canadian veteran Kelsey Serwa capped off a solid weekend winning the ladies' small final to finish fifth.
Duncan and Thompson now lead the World Cup standings.
The ski cross World Cup tour continues January 10-11, 2014 in Megeve, France.
