The Canadian Olympic Committee is scheduled to make a funding announcement at 9 a.m. ET today at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
There is speculation that Bal Gosal, Canada's minister of state for sport, would join in announcing a funding budget for the next four-year Own the Podium cycle to develop Olympics-ready Canadian athletes.
Young junior athletes from different sport clubs in Toronto are expected to demonstrate various sports at the event.
