Glenn Healy says Montreal Canadiens forward Lars Eller could have predicted his comments would backfire on him.

The Hockey Night in Canada analyst discussed Eller's verbal jab at the Edmonton Oilers with hosts Rob Pizzo and Kelly Hrudey on Hockey Night in Canada Radio on SiriusXM on Wednesday.

Eller said Edmonton sometimes "played like a junior team" that was "all over the place" before the Oilers' 4-3 victory over the Canadiens on Tuesday night. But Healy says he thinks the 24-year-old Danish centreman didn't mean any harm by his comments.

"I'm sure he learned his lesson because stuff like that, you know it's gonna end up on someone's chalkboard," Healy said.
