Canada's Brianne Theisen-Eaton won the silver medal in the women's heptathlon Tuesday at the world track and field championships in Moscow.
The heptathlon — essentially the women's version of the decathlon — is made up of seven disciplines: 100-metre hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 metres, long jump, javelin throw and 800 metres.
Theisen-Eaton, a 24-year-old from Humboldt, Sask., who is married to Olympic and world decathlon champion Ashton Eaton, set a personal best of 6,530 points to finish just behind gold medallist Ganna Melnichenko of Ukraine
