Ninety-two golfers opened the 77th Masters Tournament at Augusta National on Thursday, with the top 50 and ties, plus those within 10 shots of the lead, allowed to play on the weekend.
World No. 1 Tiger Woods was the pre-tourney favourite, having won three tournaments this season but he hasn't won a major since 2008 (U.S. Open) or the Masters since 2005.
