With the Jets and Islanders battling in one of the best overtimes of the year on Saturday, Winnipeg defenceman Grant Clitsome fired a shot that rang off the post. The puck caromed right to Kyle Wellwood, who thought he had an open net as Islanders goalie Evgeni Nabokov was completely out of position.
Winnipeg remains in ninth place in the East, one point shy of the New York Rangers.
That one point may be the difference between a playoff spot or more quality time with the families.
