On Tuesday night, Capitals defenceman John Erskine robbed the Winnipeg Jets twice. In one period.

This is a trend the Winnipeg Jets are surely getting fed up with.

On Tuesday night, Capitals defenceman John Erskine robbed the Jets twice. In one period.

With Washington leading 1-0 early in the first period, Erskine slid across the crease to prevent Bryan Little from tying the game.

The thievery didn't stop there. Jets centre Aaron Gagnon thought he got the equalizer with about six minutes remaining in the first after his deflection got by Caps goalie Braden Holtby.

But Erskine was right there to sweep the puck away before the puck crossed the goal-line. The Capitals went on to clinch the Southeast Division with a 5-3 win over the Jets.

Take a look.
