While the shortened NHL season may have scrapped a 2013 All-Star Game, Kaspars Daugavins tried to put on a show at Scotiabank Place with an unusual shootout attempt Monday night. Daugavins was the fourth shooter for the Ottawa Senators against Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask.

The Latvian winger pressed the toe of his stick on the puck and raced up the ice before he turned his body counter-clockwise for a 360 move. Rask denied him with his left pad as Daugavins exhaled and threw his head back in defeat.
Shortly after at the other end, David Krejci sealed a 3-2 Boston win by scoring on Sens goalie Robert Lehner.
It wasn't the first time Daugavins reached into his bag of tricks. He scored on an identical maneouvre with the Binghamton Senators during a 2010 game against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
