Just when it looked like the Chicago Blackhawks' record unbeaten streak to start a season was in jeopardy, Chicago sniper Patrick Kane decided to take matters into his own hands against the Detroit Red Wings Sunday.

Unprecedented is one word to describe it. 

Impressive is another. 

Regardless, the Chicago Blackhawks' NHL record 22-game points streak to start a season has emerged as one of the more intriguing storylines in this shortened campaign.

And just when it looked like the streak was in jeopardy, Chicago sniper Patrick Kane decided to take matters into his own hands against the Detroit Red Wings Sunday.

With his team down 1-0 late in the third, Kane beat Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard with 2:02 to go to send the game to overtime and preserve the team's run.
