Mikael Bilodeau crossed the finish line 2-100ths ahead of Canadian teammate Alex Bilodeau Friday in the dual moguls final, but it was Bilodeau taking the world championship.
The judges deemed Bilodeau superior over his two jumps, giving him his third career world title in Voss, Norway. It was a reversal of the finish in individual moguls earlier this week, when Kingsbury of Deux-Montagnes, Que., was first and Rosemere, Que., native Bilodeau placed second.
Patrick Deneen of the United States placed third in Friday's competition.
Montreal's Chloe Dufour-Lapointe overcame a slip at the top of the hill to take gold in the women's event, just ahead of Miki Ito of Japan.
Hannah Kearney of the U.S. took third.
It continued a banner week for Canada on the slopes in Voss. In addition to the previous 1-2 finish for Kingsbury and Bilodeau, Justine Dufour-Lapointe won bronze in moguls, with Travis Gerrits earning silver in freestyle aerials.
