NHL lockout Day 42: Fan's comment of the day

Today's featured commenter says it's time to sequester the two sides in a cramped space and only allow them to leave once a deal is done.

With the NHL officially cancelling games through Nov. 30, CBCSports.ca has been helping give fans a voice.

Until the game we love returns, we will continue to highlight one fan's take on the lockout each day from the posts we've received on Facebook, Twitter and the comments sections on CBCSports.ca.

Here is Saturday's fan's comment of the day from commenter JoeBBrown:

"There's a really simple solution to all of this posturing and other silliness that would snuff out the "silly season" gong show...

"Lock Betman, Fehr and all direct negotiators in a hot, stuffy poorly ventilated room, provide limited washroom privileges, no shaving or showering and definitely no deoderant, one roll of toilet paper and a box of kleenex. Feed them basic military "C" rashions, provide only tepid tap water to drink. They don't come out until a deal is negotiated. Oh, maybe toss in a jar of stale peanut butter. I estimate an agreement would be reached in a day, say 12 hours... Amazing what a little encouragement would do."
